This is your inspiring Message of the Week on Maasbach Radio’s Message Station:
More about the message:
Many people do not know that the answer to the questions: “Why are so many people ill?” and “how can you prevent it?” ought to be found in the Word of God. How can we be happy and kept from sickness?
If you are passionate about sharing God’s love with others, we’d love to help you out with some flyers and tracts to use during your outreach. Send us a message including the following information:
“Because God’s love changed my life, it is my desire to tell people all over the world of His amazing love.”
This week on Maasbach Radio, a passionate young woman tells us why it’s important to tell others about Jesus. Irene works at the church and leads a team that does community outreach. She admits that she’ll get nervous sometimes when she’s about to approach somebody she has never met before, but she’s gotten more and more confident about it: “the first thing I do, is put on a smile”. Listen to helpful tips and encouraging advice about reaching out to your community.
This weekend, Irene will share how she became a follower of Jesus. From a very young age, Irene was brought up in church.
“I never felt the desire to turn away from God because I know Jesus is everything I’ll ever need.”

Read this inspiring account of Johan Maasbach from Holland who has again and again proven to his generation that God is alive and full of love and compassion toward mankind. As a chief cook on freighters and passenger-ships and as a small-town pastor, he takes us in this book through the heights and depths of his exciting, remarkable and devoted walk with God. Whether he stands in a dignified pulpit in one of his beautiful churches in Holland or on a crude platform before a teeming multitude in the Far East, his faith, love and compassion remain the same.
You will be thrilled when you read this faith-building e-book. Once you start reading, you will not be able to lay it down until you’ve finished it.
Most people see their bank account, employer, allowance, pension etc. as their source of provision. Or they look at their own abilities, friends or family. Of course there are things that we need to do ourselves. But the Bible teaches us that God Himself is the Source of all our provision. We need to do what the Bible says and trust God on His Word – crisis or no crisis.
We can practice what God says in His Word. Like we put our trust in other people that might be able to help us, we need to put our trust in God and His Word. One thing is certain: God always proves His Word. He will never let you down.
Jesus knows about all your financial needs and He tells you to trust His Word. Let us do what He tells us to do. Jesus says, ‘Give first and you will receive more than enough in return’ (read Luke 6:38). In other words Jesus says, ‘Look to God as the Source of your life. Give Him the best you have and He will give the best He has!’

As a young boy, Mayn had to deal with tough situations. Even though he didn’t find himself in the perfect circumstances, he believed that God made him for a purpose. Mayn learned a lot from men in the Bible:
‘I was reading all these stories about David and Joseph and I was like, these people, whether they made mistakes or not, they had a certain character. And I wanted to be like that too. I said: please God, help me to pursue my calling as well’.
Mayn says that pursuing your calling is the most important thing he wants to teach his new born son. Because finding what God made you to do and actually going after that, will give you perfect happiness.

At Maasbach Radio we have the pleasure of meeting many inspirational individuals and hearing their story. For instance this young man: Alwin.
At 16-years old, Alwin suffered from a severe blood poisoning. His whole life was turned upside down as he had to trade his soccer career for hospital visits and rehabilitation. As a result of this illness, Alwin’s fingertops needed to be amputated. As he lost his sense of belonging in society, a Christian friend invited Alwin to a concert in church. Alwin, who didn’t know Jesus at the time, agreed to go with him that night.
At the concert he saw young people singing, dancing and enjoying life. He wanted that same joy that he saw in that church. When the band’s leadsinger did an altarcall, Alwin didn’t hesitate to open his heart for Jesus and invite Him into his life.
Alwin started playing the guitar, despite his missing fingertops. Now, Alwin is a gifted guitar player and uses this gift in church as a worshipleader.

Here’s a powerful message that will build your faith today:
About the message:
Accusations are powerful and operating in the power of the tongue. Words are powerful. Accusations are hindering to move you forward, but God brings you His Word to break that power.
This weekend, preachers from all over the world will come together at the Maasbach Conference in The Hague, Holland.
During 3 days of teaching, preaching, worship and powerful prayer, we will enter into God’s presence and expect the power of the Holy Spirit to fill our lives. It is our prayer that you – yes, YOU! – will experience the power of the Holy Spirit as well. We pray for you to receive your miracle and to be victorious in this life.

Meet Mitchell, he’s the guy on the left doing sound at a big church conference in Holland.
Being a sound engineer is what he does, but a few years back this was impossible.
When Mitchell was a baby, his parents noticed there was something wrong with his ears.
In his childhood years, Mitchell underwent surgery after surgery. Nothing cured his ear problems, until God did a miracle.
Now, Mitchell serves as a sound engineer in church and at big events.
Do you need a miracle from God today? Whatever your need is, you can trust Him. Jesus loves you and wants to heal you and make you whole. Call upon His name today and receive your miracle.
How are you? How are you REALLY?
Today we want to encourage you, whatever your situation might be.
Are you sick?
Are you looking for answers?
Are you grieving?
We’re here for you.
If you need someone to talk to, feel free to contact us.
You can always send us a message on facebook or click right here.
We’d love to hear from you and we’ll pray for you to experience victory today.
The Blessing Pact, straight out of the principles in the Bible, is the formula through which God is able to supply you in all of your needs.
The Blessing Pact shows us how followers of Christ in the Bible were supplied in all of their needs and how God sustained them in their daily lives, because they gave God what belonged to Him. This principle is still the same for us today. God has not changed and He wants to supply in your needs and sustain you in your every day life.
For years, Jaime experienced terrible pain in her knee. As an active mom of three, she tried to cope with the pain by using pain killers. One day, Jaime sat in a church service as she heard a message about healing.
After the message, the preacher encouraged the church to cry out to God for healing. Nobody laid hands on Jaime or prayed a specific prayer for her, yet after the church service, Jaime found herself walking down the stairs in high heels without a trace of pain!
Do you experience pain in your body? Are you sick? Jesus wants to heal you! Cry out to Jesus and He will hear your cry.
Meet this beautiful family of three: Rakesh, Febe and little Serahja.
Rakesh and Febe have been married for 10 years. God gave them the promise that they would receive children some day. Years passed by, yet Rakesh and Febe didn’t see the promise fullfilled. There were some hard times, especially when it seemed like everyone around them got pregnant ‘so easily’. Still, they chose to trust God and to hold on to the promise. And He proved to be faithful: God gave them this beautiful baby girl.
Are you waiting to see a promise fullfilled in your life? Don’t lose hope! God has not forgotten about you. We pray that you will be reminded of this fact as you listen to Maasbach Radio today.
“Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”Acts 5:38-39 (NIV)
‘I felt God in the details from the beginning. It was hard work, but I was grateful to do it. I did everything I was supposed to do, but it didn’t turn out the way I hoped’
Have you ever been there?
You’re doing everything you feel Jesus has called you to do. It’s a mix of messy and beautiful, and you’re OK with that. You love the times you sense God doing something powerful, but there are times you work as hard as you can, and it doesn’t turn out the way you think it should at all.
That can be discouraging, to say the least.
In today’s passage, we find Peter and the apostles in a hard place. Despite their faithfulness, they have been jailed and beaten many times. They are human, so there are discouraging moments. Yet each time they are released, they go right back out and do what Jesus asked them to do.
At one point, their dogged persistence troubles the authorities. They meet to discuss their fate. That’s when Gamaliel, a respected member of the community, speaks up:
“Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God” (Acts 5:38-39).
If it is from God, you will not be able to stop them.
What if I looked at my assignments from God differently?
Whether loving a child, leading a ministry or investing in a relationship, if God is in it, then we can rest in it. Success isn’t measured by challenges, our hard work or even the results.
If we know God has asked us to do something, that’s sufficient. All He wants is for us to do our part. We can trust He’s doing His. We might not see the eternal impact, but He does.
There will always be a mix of messy (our feelings, critical people, a desire to see immediate results) and faith as we follow Jesus. We might think it should be easier. We may believe it should bring us joy all the time. We might even equate off-the-charts results with pleasing Him. On days like that, we need to remember this:
If it is from God, you will not be able to stop [her]. Not because of us, but because of Him.
We can rest in what God’s asked us to do, from beginning to end. We’ll do our best. We’ll be faithful. When we complete that assignment, we’ll start listening for the next. We keep loving. We keep our heart attuned to His voice. We don’t allow results or challenges to rob us of the joy of partnering with Him.
If God is in it, and we know that to be true, we are free to simply show up and do our part. After all, God is in charge of the results.
Heavenly Father, You invited me to partner with You, and I’ve made it all about the external. I’ve wrapped it around feelings or results or what I think it should look like. I shift the focus back to You. If You are in it, that’s enough for me. Thank You for allowing me to partner with You in Your plans. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.SHARE
Rachid and his wife are expecting their first baby! When talking to Rachid about the first ultra sound, he was speechless.
‘People don’t realize how big of a miracle it is for life to be born… It really is a miracle.’
Rachid himself experienced a miracle healing when he was 2 years old. He was diagnosed with severe meningitis and had to stay in the hospital. The doctors said he would either die, or be brain damaged for the rest of his life.
One day, a woman came to Rachid’s hospital room and asked his mom why she was crying. When Rachid’s mom told the woman what was going on with her son, the woman offered to pray with her. After three days of prayer, Rachid was completely healed. The doctors were amazed and had no other explanation than that of a miracle.
Rachid shares his story with you to show that God can do the impossible. Believe in Him! He wants to do a miracle in your life.
A couple of years ago, Tim was involved in a car crash. He got out to help the people in the 8 other cars that were involved because at that moment, he felt fine. But in the evening Tim started to experience severe headaches. The days after the accident the symptoms got worse and the diagnose became clear: whiplash.
For weeks, Tim couldn’t do anything and in this tough situation he was tempted to ask: ‘why God?’ Yet, Tim says he learned a very valuable lesson:
‘The one thing that I’ve learned out of this experience, is that when you seek Jesus in tough times… He will prove Himself to be so close to you.’
Whatever your circumstance is today: sickness, sadness, fear, tragedy, loss or anger, God wants to come close to you. Talk to Him about it!

COMPASSION FOR THE LOST.
‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? ’ – Isaiah 6:8
Scripture for today: Isaiah 6
Is it possible to be satisfied with what we see and hear around us today, after we have been baptized in the Holy Spirit? What caused Jesus to cry for the city of Jerusalem? It was a heart full of compassion! All around us there are people/souls that are lost without God. Today, the children of God need an outpouring of God’s love in their hearts for the lost. A compassion from which we cry out to God through the Holy Spirit: ’Have mercy, oh God, and save those who are doomed!’ Are you ready to do what God wants you to do? To go where God wants you to go? To say what God wants you to say? Are you on fire for Jesus?
Thoughts for today: The baptism in the Holy Spirit and death of our ‘own self’ gives a compassion for souls and for this world that is dying!

This week on Maasbach Radio: REVIVAL then & now with Fred de Bruijn
Fred has been a pastor and a teacher for many years. He sat down with us to talk about revival in the church in the past and what’s in store for the generation of today.
Oral Roberts has been a great inspiration to pastor Fred:
‘You want more when the Holy Spirit comes into your life. I also see this in the life of Oral Roberts: not being satisfied with only being saved. I knew I was called to serve God, but how?’
Pastor Fred finds 5 promises in the autobiography of Oral Roberts that he received from God. One of those promises is that there will be a worldwide revival before Jesus comes back.
‘The most important thing for our generation is to prepare for the revival that is coming before Jesus comes back. God is preparing us. There is no revival that started without years of prayer or without a hunger for the Holy Spirit. It doesn’t start in the future. It starts NOW.’
Jeconia, 25, is featured in this month’s personal playlist!
As a talented composer and avid music lover, he shares with you what his favorite songs are at the moment and what they mean to him.
1 Shoulders — For King & Country
I’ve been following this band since the beginning. My favorite For King & Country song and number 1 on my playlist is: ‘Shoulders’. They’re the brothers of Rebecca St. James and have a great sound. This song is about the fact that God always helps us and it tells about His love. It doesn’t matter in what kind of situation we are. Our help comes from Him.
2 Come Awaken Love — Bethel Music
Bethel, a great worshipband, has written this fun, fast song with a deep meaning. Hunter G K Thompson’s voice is very ‘interesting’ but in a good way. The song is about wanting more of God’s heart, which is very applicable for my life as well.
3 Love Has Come For Me — Colton Dixon
He became well known for participating in the Idols tv-show in America (in the 7th and 11th season) and he has an unbelievable voice. This is real Christian rock music. The Bible says that God is love and this song says that where ever I end up, God continues. Love (Jesus) has come for me.
4 Perfect Love — Leeland
A synth driven song, a beautiful voice and well arranged song. This song is about the perfect love of God that drives out all fear. Fear can fall upon us very easily, the question is: ‘what do we do with it?’ This song will certainly help you to get rid of your fear.
5 Heart Like Heaven — Hillsong United
Ofcoarse I can’t forget this one on my list: Hillsong United. This cd, that was recorded in the well known Ocean Way studio in Hollywood in America, is a real top dog. This song is about the holy name of God and that He is worthy of all worship and praise.
6 Made For Me — Toby Mac
I know little artists that have been at the top for so long and who are nominated for a Grammy every year. Toby Mac, who pursued a solo career after DC Talk, is always innovative with a great sound. This song is about his wife and it just has such a great vibe. He sings about the fact that God made her for him and that he can’t believe she’s his.
7 Real Love — Hillsong Young & Free
A band for youth or adults that are young of heart. God’s love is real and it’s for us. I especially like the vocal effects. This song is very helpful during a workout or to get active, ha! This band is fairly new to the scene. They have a modern sound with lyrics that clearly show that God is number one in their lives.

We’ve had such a good time with Rachel at Maasbach Radio. You might know her from Maasbach Worship or The Blessing Singers. This week, Rachel came to the studio to talk about her life a little bit.
From the young age of 6 years old, Rachel had a burning desire on her heart: for her father to accept Jesus Christ into his heart. She began praying for him. It wasn’t until many, many years later that Rachel saw this prayer answered. Rachel shared with us how she overcame discouragement and eventually developed an entire new kind of relationship with her father.
