Caitie Hurst never really planned to become a musical artist, and especially not one with her current track record. But God had a different plan for her life. Even though she describes herself as awkward and insecure, she’s released some of the most top-ranking Christian pop tracks in the last couple of years. Her latest single ‘At All Times’ can definitely be the next hit of her already successful musical career.
Caitie Hurst grew up in Hendersonville, Tennessee in a musical family. Her father was part of a touring Christian band. Even though she loved singing, she thought of herself as being awkward and insecure. Because of that self-image, she never wanted to sing in front of anyone. Fortunately, the leaders of her youth group in church recognized her talent and signed her up to lead worship.
She overcame her insecurities because of her voice teacher, who told her that she was given this talent as a gift from God. She told Caitie that it wasn’t about her, but that her job was to point people to God, and not herself. Caitie continued to develop her musical talent throughout high school and university, where she pursued a path of worship-leading.
She also discovered “her mission” to “bridge the gap between songs that sound like pop radio but contain meaningful lyrics. Music that communicates the Gospel in a way that doesn’t sound cliché, but sounds fun—something someone could jam to in the car.” This approach proved to quite successful for her with already several chart rankings since she signed at Centricity in the fall of 2017
Her latest single “At All Times” is definitely another gem that is produced with the reasoning behind it. The song sounds fresh and totally for today. She rightfully mentioned that “this as a song that could be sung over and over no matter how circumstances around us look like.” Listen now to ‘Caitie Hurst’ on Maasbach Radio, Spotify, and Apple Music.
