There aren’t many Christian female vocalists in the last decade that managed to score number one hits on multiple prestigious charts. One thing is for sure: Lauren Daigle has established herself among other very successful Christian music artists and beyond with her latest album “Look Up Child.”
For Lauren Daigle it all started with performing in the choir of her local church from her early childhood. Later, she continued to lead the choir at Louisiana State University. Her musical talent did not go unnoticed and many of her friends and family encouraged her to compete in the tv-show: American Idol. She competed between 2010 and 2012 but unfortunately didn’t manage to come very far back then.
However, this period led to her position as worship leader at North Point Community Church where she recorded her first album. This all resulted in an invitation by Centricity Music, where she was given the chance to sing on Jason Grey’s single “Nothing is Wasted.” Centricity Music later decided to sign her in 2013.
This led to her second full-length album “How Can It Be,” which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Christian Album Chart in 2015. But nobody would have thought that her third album “Look Up Child” would even exceed the success of ‘How can it be’. Listen to “Look Up Child” today on Maasbach Radio, Spotify and ITunes.← BackNext →
