Who would think that meeting each other while working together at a Starbucks coffee shop, would result in winning three Dove Awards! This is the incredible story of a group of young guys who would become the successful Christian Pop/Rock group: The Afters.
The success of The Afters didn’t come overnight. Even though all the members of the band started out as colleagues at the same Starbucks, they were already on the road as serious musicians for some time. It all started with Josh Havens and Matt Fuqua, who already performed together as The Screaming Mimes. Jordan Mohilowski and Dan Ostebo joined them later on when they started performing together at their local Starbucks. The initial name of the band was Blisse, but they changed it later to The Afters, the name under which they became well known.
From 2000 till 2001 they’d released several independent records after which they landed their first label deal at INO Records. This decision only led to more success for the band and it resulted in an even bigger label deal at Epic Records. It was under this label that their first chart notations and Dove Award nominations started with the album ‘I Wish We All Could Win.’ Many more successes followed for the band.
The Afters have now released their sixth studio album ‘Fear No More,’ and we have great expectations for this new release. The album is packed with ear-catching pop gems like ‘I Will Fear No More’ and ‘Lightning,’ which are more than radio worthy. Listen now to The Afters on Maasbach Radio, Spotify and iTunes.← BackNext →
