The moment you surrender your life to Christ, a checkered flag is waved and you’re off to the races…on the greatest adventure of your life. It’s a race that’s already been won, yet one you’re committed to run for the duration of your existence. And it’s a race the men of MercyMe have been running for awhile. After 28 years as a band, Bart Millard (lead vocals), Nathan Cochran (bass), Barry Graul (guitar), Mike Scheuchzer (guitar) and Robby Shaffer (drums) are in it to win it.
The beloved band’s storied career speaks to the endurance of its members and the timelessness of its music. With more than 9 million units in cumulative sales, MercyMe has seen 27 of their songs reach No. 1 across multiple Christian radio formats, in addition to garnering four mainstream radio hits. Their landmark song, “I Can Only Imagine,” was the first digital single in Christian music history to be certified platinum and double-platinum. Billboard named them the Christian Artist of the Decade in 2009. In addition, they have multiple GRAMMY® nominations, GMA Dove Awards and American Music Awards to their credit.

SHARECitizens’ lead singer and songwriter, Zach Bolen, shares his powerful testimony on Maasbach Radio.
Zach lost his father in a tragic car accident when he was 6 years old. Through the years, Zach has learned that God uses all things in our lives to write a beautiful story. Even the painful things.
‘…seeing that the grief that I carried wasn’t something I needed to suppress or get rid of, but it was actually part of my story’
Zach encourages all of us to believe in the goodness of God in all seasons of life. Listen to his inspiring story on Maasbach Radio.

SHAREJoseph Espinoza, worshipleader at REVERE, shares with us the greatest miracle of all… Check out this awesome conversation about personal encounters with Jesus and an incredible testimony of healing on Maasbach Radio.
ABOUT REVERE
A generation ago, Christianity went through a massive shift. The formality of corporate worship gave way to ‘intimacy’, and we were forever changed. The ongoing work of the Spirit released us into a ‘a spiritual intensity’, but our ultimate longing has always been a weighty encounter in the presence of God that is less about our contribution and more about our surrender. Integrity Music’s REVERE is a musical journey from intimacy to intensity into the fear of the Lord, where we fall down and cry out: “Holy, holy, holy are you Lord Almighty.”
Marshall McLuhan, the father of modern day communications, famously said: ‘The medium is the message.’
Throughout history, the medium of our worship has communicated what we truly believe about God. Whenever we have been in seasons of faith and healthy dependence, the medium has been reverential songs and liturgies that are soaked in honesty and humility, the Psalms being a case in point. Whenever we have taken our eyes off the mark, we have replaced these with idols that we have been able to make with our own hands, substituting vulnerability with human ingenuity. If we are to be honest, we are facing this internal tug of war in the church today. God forbid that our skills to produce and finesse cause us to move away from the simplicity and mystery of full surrender.
Our hope with REVERE is to gently help steer the church away from a production culture where the emphasis can, mistakenly, become a love for worship, to a reverential culture where the focus is, clearly and firmly, a love for Christ.
This is in keeping with our company’s vision to help people experience the manifest presence of God, oftentimes described, in the bible, as ‘the glory’, the weight, substance and gravitas of The Eternal.
SHAREWe had a great conversation with one of Elevation Worship’s familiar faces: Tiffany Hudson!
What many people may not know, is that Tiffany wrote on a lot of our favourite Elevation songs. Like “Graves into Gardens”, “Never Lost” and “It is so”. We asked Tiffany about the songwriting process behind their worship songs and what advice she can give to other songwriters. Check it out!
SHAREArt is often birthed from struggle. Expressing the heart’s most vulnerable emotions can be both cathartic and beautiful, as history has proven time and again. For one of Christian music’s most prolific vocalists, Todd Smith, life has undoubtedly inspired his art. While the depths of suffering, including the loss of a child and a serious illness, have profoundly affected Todd and his family, he’s emerged with an unquenchable thirst to create—to make music, offer Hope, and challenge complacency.
Best known as a founding member of Selah—the beloved vocal group has sold more than 4 million albums and singles, claimed eight #1 radio hits, three chart-topping Billboard albums and eight Dove Awards among numerous other accolades in a storied career approaching two decades—Todd tells us about growing up in Congo with his parents in full time ministry and he even teaches us a phrase in ‘kituba’! So check out the full conversation on our youtube channel and be encouraged by this special time with Selah’s Todd Smith.

Join the Binions in this personal and touching interview on family life, raising a special needs child and navigating through the process of a miracle.
‘We know God can do all things and we pray for Him to take it (the struggle) away, but instead He gives us a process of progress and His grace is sufficient. If the miracle is a process or immediate… we have learned to trust God in all kinds of ways’

This devotional helps you to ponder on the Word of God every day, for just a few minutes, with a short audio message by Evangelist John T.L. Maasbach through daily emails for 10 days.
SHAREThe holiday season is a time of joy and love, but for some it can be a lonely season. Why not show some love and compassion to those around you!
Here are some ideas on how you can love on others during this holiday season:
1. Get crafty and personable with your presents.
Instead of pushing and suffering through the big crowds at the mall, get crafty with your gift-giving and give your loved ones something they’re sure to cherish for years to come. You’ll be excited to give it to them and they’ll feel overwhelmed with love and joy when they open it.
2. Send cards to extended family and distant friends.
It isn’t always possible to have that face-to-face interaction with those we love—especially distant relatives and old friends that have moved away. Thankfully, though, there’s an easy solution: send them fun holiday cards! You can even include a meaningful letter or note inside that warms their core when they read it.
3. Arrange a secret Santa exchange at work.
Whoever invented Secret Santa is a genius—it cuts back on time and money, while also maximizing the fun that is gift-giving! Go ahead, what are you waiting for? Talk to your coworkers and plan the details. This fun game will provide laughs and love aplenty.
4. Invite a lonely friend over for Christmas dinner.
Not all of us are fortunate enough to spend Christmas with family—but no one should spend it alone. Consider inviting a friend or coworker that’s new to town over for the holidays. They’d surely love some company and appreciate the invitation for years to come.
5. Donate blankets and food to the homeless.
The truth is that the holidays aren’t the “greatest time of year” for everybody. In fact, it’s the most difficult time of year for some. Help make it a little brighter by showing the homeless some love—take them some blankets and food to enjoy this season.
6. Tell all of your loved ones that you—well—love them.
Oxytocin, or the “love hormone”, is a neurotransmitter released during social interaction: hugging, kissing, or simply bonding. It’s also a big part of the reason interacting with others is so beneficial to our health. So, don’t wait another minute—go show your loved ones some love. Hug ‘em, kiss ‘em, whatever you deem fit!
SHAREThis Christmas season, consider a special Christmas gift so that we can continue to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible, in the shortest possible time, with the best means and media at our disposal.
Thank you for considering. Click here to donate now and may God bless you for it!
SHAREAs Phil puts it, “The mandate is clear. I feel the Lord’s call on my life to lead people into His presence- to lead them to worship.”
Though Phil has been singing since childhood, it wasn’t until he was 30 years old that he discovered his gifting in writing music. In 2017 Phil stepped forward from behind the pen and committed to one goal – worship. The world immediately took notice of this worshipper’s authentic heart as the live session video for “My Worship” garnered over 1 million views within just two months. Just over a year late it has well over 12 million views.

SHARENaming their duo after the NASA program that sent the world’s first astronauts to the Moon, bandmates Jordan Phillips and Adam Stark launched Apollo LTD into orbit in 2015. Their full-length debut, Out of Body, followed in 2019, earning the songwriters their first Top 40 hit (with the electro-pop single “Gold”) and racking up a Dove Awards nomination for Best Rock Album. By the time the awards ceremony rolled around in October 2020, though, Jordan and Adam found themselves stuck at home in Nashville, kept indoors by a worldwide pandemic that had turned everyday life upside down.
Listen to Adam and Jordan as they share their heart behind their new album as well as the interesting origin of their bandname on Maasbach Radio.
Much of Apollo LTD’s second album, Nothing is Ordinary. Everything is Beautiful, was created during those strange months in isolation. A bombastic, uplifting pop album about resilience and resolve, Nothing is Ordinary. Everything is Beautiful reframes the unique obstacles of modern-day life as reasons to come together rather than pull apart. This is music for clubs, cathedrals, and coliseums — wide-armed, Technicolor music that’s built to move, punctuated by messages that pack as powerful a punch as the EDM drops, pulsing drumbeats, and singalong choruses that push each track skyward.

SHAREWith her angelic voice and soulful sound, inspirational singer and songwriter DOE (a.k.a. Dominique Jones) is is a refreshing presence in the music industry, today. DOE is a multi-layered artist who is ready to bless the world with her authenticity, incredible talent, and an undeniable musical gift will allow her to have lasting impact on all who hear her sound.
Check out our chat with DOE in the virtual Mradio studio and be encouraged as DOE shares about her faith journey and says a special prayer for anyone dealing with fear.
Born in Washington State and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, DOE started singing as a child with her family. Growing up in the church, it was inevitable that she would follow the path of her family and sing Christian/Gospel music, as both sides of her family were heavily involved in the Gospel circuit. “My parents had five children, so we eventually became a group and we actually did very well.” That group was called Forever Jones, a Christian gospel septet, featuring her parents, a 16-year-old DOE and her two sisters and two brothers, which released two albums on EMI Gospel, Get Ready in 2010, and Musical Revival in 2012, followed by their self-released Prayer Tools, Vol. 1 in 2014. The group enjoyed much success, garnering multiple Stellar Award and Dove Award nominations, as well as two GRAMMY® Awards nominations for Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album and Best Gospel Performance.
In 2014, DOE took the leap of faith to explore a solo career. DOE’s first album, a self-titled EP, is available now and features the hit single “Brighter”.
SHAREKoryn Hawthorne joins Maasbach Radio in our virtual studio and shares some words of encouragement with you. The gospel singer’s career really took off after finishing in 4th place in season 8 of NBC’s singing competition ‘The Voice’. This talented 22-year-old gospel artist proved to be a chart-topping musician with her debut studio album ‘Unstoppable’ in 2018. She has now released her newest album ‘I AM’ which already hit the no. 1 spot on Nielsen’s Current Gospel Album Chart and no. 2 on Billboard’s Gospel Consumption Chart.

About Koryn:
Koryn Hawthorne grew up in the small town of Abbeville in Louisiana, where she already started performing at the age of 9. Gradually she continued to sing locally at nursing homes, churches, and other small events during her teenager years. However, the biggest step of her singing career would be in 2015. She auditioned in the eight season of NBC’s hit music show ‘The Voice’ where she ended up in the finals. After that amazing result, she was contracted by RCA Inspiration, a dedicated gospel music division of Sony Music. It didn’t take her too long to release her debut album ‘Unstoppable’ in 2018. That project really launched her as one of the leading artists in gospel music in the last couple of years.
Singer/songwriter Anne Wilson knows the healing power of music firsthand. The lyrics of Hillsong Worship’s “What A Beautiful Name” became a lifeline for the Lexington, Kentucky native after her brother was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of 23. Although she spent much of her childhood behind a piano, Wilson sang in front of an audience for the first time at her brother’s funeral. It was in that moment that she realized what she was born to do. A video of her moving performance organically circulated, eventually landing her a record deal. With a mesmerizing voice and a visible hunger for Jesus, the 19-year-old relies on personal journal entries and time spent in nature for songwriting inspiration.
Check out an exclusive acoustic performance by Anne Wilson at the virtual Maasbach Radio studio and be blessed by her personal testimony. Anne also has a special prayer on her heart for you today. Subscribe to Maasbach Radio’s YouTube channel to never miss an inspiring interview again!

SHAREGrammy award nominee, William McDowell, joins us in the virtual Maasbach Radio studio to encourage every single listener. You probably remember the powerful anthems ‘Withholding nothing’ and ‘I give myself away’ from Pastor William and today he’s got a powerful word for you!
Pastor William talks about the miracles he’s seen around him and in his own life. Join us on our YouTube channel as Pastor William prays the prayer of faith and don’t forget to hit that subscibe button!
About Pastor William McDowell:
“The best you can do is to prepare your heart and be obedient…
you have to be willing to become invisible. It’s never about you. Nothing in the service is about you. People aren’t coming to see you. They are coming to experience God.”
With this underlying approach, during 40 days of fasting and prayer prior to the recording, new songs began to emerge. As an example, McDowell points to the song “Withholding Nothing,”
“What started in rehearsal as a way to re-work our song ‘Give Myself Away’ became the title track after the event,” he explains. “As we were singing the chorus of what would become ‘Withholding Nothing,’ the response was overwhelming. The whole evening was like that… at least 45 minutes of the project was unrehearsed.”
Six months later, McDowell finished writing “Withholding Nothing.” And that finished song is now the album’s first radio single and a bonus “radio edit’ track on the CD.
Referring to both the song and the entire recording, McDowell adds, “No one expected that. We just rehearsed and then followed the leading of the Holy Spirit.”
The powerful, unforgettable result of that obedience is Withholding Nothing, a CD/DVD unlike anything you’ve probably ever seen in Christian and Gospel music. Produced by McDowell, Steven Lester of Elevation Church, Aaron Lindsey, and Clay Bogan, who co-produced Arise, Withholding Nothing aims not so much to entertain or inspire as to minister to those who listen and watch. It was created as a testimony, to open wide the door for a new generation to witness the manifestation of God’s presence among his people.
With 14 unforgettable tracks recorded on CD and 20 total on the DVD, including standouts from Arise and As We Worship, Withholding Nothing reverberates with anthems of surrender and praise, overcoming and victory and a clarion call to change the world in Jesus’ name.
“The DVD highlights 2000 people immersed not in a recording but in worship, people who don’t know they are being heard by anyone but God,” McDowell explains. “We don’t get pre-claps, we don’t stop for any reason. The focus is 100 percent on God and what He’s saying, and the songs just happen the way they happen.”
In fact, when McDowell presented the DVD footage to his distribution company (Entertainment One), booking and management, a collective awe filled the room. They’d never seen anything like it before, a video that focused more on what was happening in the venue, the impact of and response to the encounter, than on the artist on stage.
“We never have a lock on it,” says McDowell. “Each time we bring our hearts to God, it feels as if it is a fresh encounter. We can’t rely on past encounters with God, because he chooses the encounter. We pray and ask him to show up, and if we think it’s something we’re doing, we’re missing the whole point.”
That point has been made crystal clear to McDowell during his travels, including extraordinary trips to Guyana, Guadeloupe and Ghana.
In Guyana, after leading three songs, McDowell witnessed an historical event when the nation’s president took the stage to pray and offer his country back to God. Furthermore, he asked for forgiveness from the opposing political party and prayed for reconciliation. It was an unprecedented act that took the nation’s media by surprise, resulting in headlines such as “Historic Reconciliation At Gospel Concert.”
While at a concert in Guadeloupe, McDowell witnessed the miraculous healing of a deaf man as thousands sang in French despite language barriers. “The thing is,” explains McDowell, “the man wasn’t even a Christian… he was at the concert because he’s a member of the media and he was covering the event.” This time, the headlines read, “Media Member Receives Healing At Concert.”
“We’re not going into these places for concerts,” says McDowell. “We’re going in to see moves of God.”
This was confirmed to McDowell in Ghana when a local pastor explained to him, “We didn’t bring you here for a concert, but for an impartation.”
Referencing his growing international platform, McDowell says, “If you look at what God is doing, what only He can do, I can’t take credit for any of this… if it works, it’s God. There’s no pressure because you can’t do anything apart from God, but there is responsibility to inspire the next generation to pursue God, to inspire them to get into His presence and make a difference in this world.”
“If I don’t do it, He’ll find someone who will.”

Kari Jobe can without a doubt be counted as one of the most successful artists within the world of Contemporary Christian Music in this last decade. This multiple Dove-award winning artist has now released her second live album ‘The Blessing’. It features many powerful songs like her hit collaboration ‘The Blessing’ with Elevation Worship and her husband Cody Carnes.
It all began for Kari Jobe at the early age of five, when she accepted Jesus in her heart. She was raised in Watauga, Texas. After completing studies in pastoral leadership and psychology she was taken on as an associate worship pastor at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas. She worked there alongside her father, Mark, who serves as the campus pastor. It was in this period of her life when she became known for worship songs you’ve probably sung along to in your church, like ‘Revelation Song’ and ‘Holy Spirit’.
Kari Jobe was also part of Gateway Worship at that time, they debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart in 2008 with ‘Wake Up the World’. However, the next part of her career would be centered around her successes as an individual Christian artist. She released her self-titled album in 2009, which charted at No. 67 on the Billboard 200 and No. 3 on the Billboard Christian music chart. This would only mark the beginning of numerous Dove and Grammy Award nominations. Kari’s won 4 Dove Awards along the way.
Kari Jobe has now released her second album ‘The Blessing’. It features many powerful worship tracks like ‘Throne Room’ and her absolute smash-hit song ‘The Blessing’ which quickly propelled to the most listened new CCM song of 2020. Listen to Kari Jobe on Maasbach Radio, Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.
SHAREWhen we talk about NEEDTOBREATHE, we are talking about one of the most influential Christian rock bands of all time. With their country and rock influences, this South-Carolina based band has definitely changed contemporary Christian pop music for the good. They have now released their seventh studio album ‘Out of Body.’ But this new season is a little bittersweet for brothers Bear and Bo as they have decided to do things a little differently…
The band was founded in 2001 by the brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart, who joined forces with Seth Bolt. From the early years, they’ve started to play in front of coffee house audiences at Furman University. Fun fact, did you know that Bear Rineheart was also active as a football player during his college years.
The band was already deemed for much success in its early years. Just like any other music formation, they’d started with bringing out albums independently. They quickly caught the attention of Lava Records, which didn’t take too long to sign them in 2004. This resulted in many studio albums and plenty of great notations in the Christian music charts over the years.
Their sixth studio album “Hard Love” even immediately debuted at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart and at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in 2016. This was clearly no surprise with their 13 Dove awards, and we’re aren’t even mentioning their nominations. NEEDTOBREATHE has now released their long-awaited seventh studio album ‘Out of Body.’ This album marks an entirely new phase for the band after Bo Rineheart decided to take a step away from NEEDTOBREATHE. Even though the number of band members is now down to three, this new album is yet again packed with their unique and powerful sound. One thing is for sure, they’ve definitely delivered another gem. Listen to NEEDTOBREATHE on Maasbach Radio, YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music.

The scripture in Philippians says: “…. that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection.” Have you experienced Christ? How can we have this resurrection life that the apostle Paul is talking about?
Bethel Worship’s Cory Asbury is without a doubt the definition of a hard-working worship pastor. He is globally known for his 2017 smash hit song ‘Reckless Love’. Cory Asbury has now released his third solo album ‘To Love a Fool’. How will his newest addition to his discography be received compared to his recent successes?
It all started for Cory Asbury at the young age of seventeen, when he started to lead worship at his local church in North Carolina. After graduating high school in 2004, he joined the International House of Prayer in Kansas City as a worship intern. This is where his musical career really took off. During his seven-year stay at IHOPKC he released his first songs that ended up in the charts, together with the IHOPKC collective.
After spending seven years in Kansas City, Cory moved to Colorado Springs with his family. He became the new worship pastor of New Life Church and together with New Life Church, he released the album ‘Strong God’ in 2013, which peaked at No. 6 on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart. This all led to Cory Asbury getting signed by Bethel Music in May 2015 and him singing the powerful anthem ‘Son of God’ on their eighth live album ‘Have It All,’ which came in at No. 2 on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart.
Cory’s smash hit, without a doubt, is the chart-topping worship song: ‘Reckless love’ that is being sung in churches all over the world since 2017. This release even resulted in a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Song in 2019. Cory Asbury has now released his third solo album ‘To Love a Fool’. This album is packed with inspiring and powerful songs like ‘The Father’s House’ and ‘Sparrows’. We wouldn’t be surprised if the songs on this album would also climb up high on the charts. Rich got the opportunity of a lifetime with his own choir at a young age, getting signed by Alicia Keys as her first Gospel group. For 12 years he performed at crazy big events and tv-shows. But when his contract ended, Rich wanted to stop pursuing his music career.
We were opening up for Alicia Keys at the Apollo (in New York City) singing songs about being saved at a secular event. So I thought: ‘surely this is what the Lord wants me to do!’ But it seemed to not be it. The Lord brought back the desire to put Him and the Kingdom first. Not thinking about the platforms, the money and the fame. I stopped and regrouped and said ‘God what do You want? Your plans over my plans. They’re higher anyways!’

SHARESidewalk Prophets is definitely one of those interesting bands out there in the world of Contemporary Christian Music that can’t be put in a box. With a refreshing pop sound, they’re a great example of showing that making music is fun and an activity for everyone. The band released their newest album ‘The Things That Got Us Here,’ which features their 2019 hit song ‘Smile.’
It all began in 2003 when lead singer Dave Frey and rhythm guitarist Ben McDonald were attending Indiana’s Anderson University. Without their knowledge, their music was recorded by someone on campus. What they couldn’t have imagined at that moment was the absolute success that followed afterward. Radio program directors and record labels wanted to work with them after hearing their musical talent.
The group signed at Word Records, which marked the start of a great career in the industry. Since that moment, the band has toured with renowned artists like Jeremy Camp, won a Dove award for ‘New Artist of the Year,’ and released multiple hits like ‘You Love Me Anyway.’
Their newest album ‘The Things That Got Us Here’ is definitely an awesome addition to their discography. It combines fresh pop-sounds in a happy and upbeat way. The songs all have a wonderful and biblical encouragement for its listeners, which makes this album especially a good listen when you’re feeling a bit down. Listen to Sidewalk Prophets on Maasbach Radio, YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music.

Maddie Rey has a strong message for her generation of “church kids”. As a youth speaker/preacher, Maddie ministers her message “Dwell”. Being a Pastor’s kid and growing up in church her whole life, Maddie understands the need that the church has to keep their young people serving God and in church. Many christian young people grow up feeling like they don’t have a testimony, and wind up selling out to the world to “find” it. Maddie comes saying, “The Greatest Testimony you can ever have to say that I’ve grown up in the church and never walked away from God”. Maddie’s message is based on the verse Psalms 27:4, “One Thing I desire, this only do I seek, is to DWELL in the house of the Lord all the days of my life…”.
SHAREIf we have to mention one artist that has had a major influence in worship services all around the world, it’s – without a doubt – Chris Tomlin. His Contemporary Christian Music career has been building a solid amount of followers for 25 years already. Within those years, he has definitely put his mark on the entire industry. His newest album ‘Chris Tomlin & Friends’ proves exactly why he was and still is the most influential Christian vocalist around!
Chris Tomlin’s calling to write worship came at the early age of 14. He grew up in Grand Saline in Texas and led worship in his youth group in his teenage years. Chris was heading to study medicine, but God had entirely different plans with him in college. He grew active in a campus Christian group, called Breakaway, as a worship leader. This led to many volunteering positions as a worship leader at various camps in Texas. While at Breakaway, he came in touch with the founders of Choice Ministries, Louie and Shelley Giglio. This led all to his role as a worship leader in the now-famous Passion Conferences.
From that moment on the Passion Conferences only grew, as did the reach of the songs written by Chris Tomlin. It became inevitable for Chris to get signed to a noticeable record label. ‘Sixstepsrecords’, which came forth from the Passion Conferences, aligned itself with major distributor EMI. Out of this construction came many of Chris Tomlin’s successes like the iconic albums ‘Burning Lights’ and ‘Love Ran Red.’
Chris Tomlin has now released his newest big project ‘Chris Tomlin & Friends.’ This album is all about surprising collaborations with some of the biggest names in the world of country music, like Florida Georgia Line, Lady A, Thomas Rhett, and many more. The result is a highly unique blend of masterfully crafted worship with the sound of some of the best Christian-based country music that you’ll hear in a long time. Listen to ‘Chris Tomlin & Friends’ at Maasbach Radio, Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.
