Young Authors: Chase Your God-Given Dream and Work Hard!

Two young authors from Nairobi, Kenya. Two books. One powerful message for dreamers everywhere: God can put a dream in your heart—but you have to be willing to work hard for it!

This Week on Maasbach Radio: Meet Favour & Jeremy!

How young is too young to pursue a dream? For Favour Fadhili and Jeremy Berur, the answer is simple: you are never too young to start!

This week on Maasbach Radio, we are bringing you two inspiring young authors from Nairobi, Kenya, who have already taken an incredible step towards fulfilling their dreams. Both Favour and Jeremy have written and published their very first book!

During this special Peptalk Thursday, they will share their stories, talk about their journey as young authors and encourage listeners around the world to pursue the dream that God has placed in their hearts. But there is one important message they want you to remember: Dreaming is important, but dreams also require hard work!

Meet Jeremy Berur

Jeremy Berur is an inspiring young author from Nairobi, Kenya. At a young age, Jeremy has already achieved something many people dream about: he has written and published his first book!

His book, You Too Can Be God’s Hero!, encourages young readers through biblical stories and lessons about faith, courage and godly character. Jeremy’s message is especially powerful for children and young people: God can use you!

You don’t have to wait until you are older before you begin discovering your gifts. You don’t have to wait until everything is perfect before taking the first step. God can place dreams, ideas, talents and purpose in your heart right now.

But discovering a dream is only the beginning. You also have to learn. You have to grow. You have to keep going. And you have to be willing to work hard.

Meet Favour Fadhili

Favour Fadhili is a another talented young author from Kenya and the author of her debut novel, The Silent Take, the first book in the Of Virtue & Venom series.

The story follows seventeen-year-old Joe Lard, whose seemingly comfortable life begins to fall apart when he discovers something sinister involving his teacher. What follows is a dramatic journey involving danger, betrayal, kidnapping and survival.

As Joe and his sisters find themselves trapped and separated from the life they once knew, their family faces difficult questions, painful memories and an urgent search to bring them home. Throughout the story, themes of faith, love and perseverance stand against cruelty and corruption.

Favour’s journey is a beautiful reminder that a dream can begin long before you feel completely ready. With dedication, discipline and the courage to start, a simple idea can become something real that reaches other people.

A Peptalk for Every Dreamer

Maybe God has put a dream in your heart. Perhaps you want to write a book. Maybe you dream about becoming a musician, starting a business, helping people, creating something new or using your gifts to make a difference for God’s Kingdom. Whatever that dream may be, don’t ignore it.

Pray about it. Develop it. Take the first step. And then… work hard!

A dream without action will remain only a dream. God may give you the vision, but you have to be willing to put your hands to work. There will be moments when it feels difficult. There may be times when you don’t feel talented enough, experienced enough or ready enough.

Start anyway. Learn anyway. Keep going anyway.

Favour and Jeremy’s stories are a wonderful reminder that age does not determine whether God can use you. Great things can begin with one idea, one step and the willingness to work towards what God has placed in your heart.
