Snow at Maasbach Radio!

It’s snowing in the Netherlands! It’s been a while since we’ve been seen multiple days and layers of snow on the streets of The Hague – the beautiful city of Maasbach Radio. Looking outside the window of the radio studio and seeing streets of white, reminded me of how amazing our God is. I love singing the old Dutch hymn that says:

Whiter than the snow
Whiter than the snow
Wash me in the blood of the Lamb
And I shall be whiter than snow

Snow is actually mentioned multiple times in the Bible. Let’s look at five Biblical principles we can learn from… snow!

Purity & Cleansing
Snow represents spiritual purity and cleansing from sin. Just as snow is white and spotless, God promises to cleanse us completely when we repent.
“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”
Isaiah 1:18 (NKJV)

God’s Power & Sovereignty
Snow reminds us that creation obeys God’s command. He controls the natural world, demonstrating His absolute authority.
“For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth.’”
Job 37:6 (NKJV)

Provision & Faithfulness
Snow is part of God’s provision for the earth—watering the ground so it can later bring forth fruit. Likewise, God’s Word always accomplishes His purpose.
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven… So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth.”
Isaiah 55:10–11 (NKJV)

Humility Before God
Snow can halt human activity and remind us how small we are compared to God’s wisdom and design. It calls us to humility and reverence.
“Have you entered the treasury of snow, or have you seen the treasury of hail?”
Job 38:22 (NKJV)

Rest & Renewal
Snow often brings stillness and quiet, reflecting God’s invitation to rest in Him and trust His work, even when things seem paused.
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10 (NKJV)

I am in awe of our amazing God Who demonstrates His character in nature. Come join me on Miracle Monday on Maasbach Radio and let’s talk about it a little more!

Making an impact

Maasbach Radio was invited by the Christian Music Broadcasting organization in the United States to host a gathering of men and women in radio from all over the world! With radio people from South Africa, Canada, Ghana and ofcoarse, the Netherlands, Maasbach Radio was able to lead the group in a wonderful time of fellowship and conversation about making an impact where you are.

We all have been given a different task and have been assigned to a different nation. What unites us however, is the same goal! We want the Gospel of Jesus Christ to reach as many people as possible and we use radio to achieve that goal. So dear radio friend, can we ask you a question…

Where have you been placed and what has God put in your hand? How can you make an impact with what you have and where you are right now?

After discussing the impact of radio and challenges we face, we prayed together! Prayer is so powerful and we know God has heard every word spoken during the gathering.

Maasbach Radio was able to share the legacy of the Johan Maasbach World Mission foundation and how Johan Maasbach would broadcast the message of healing and deliverance through Jesus Christ over the airwaves submitted from pirate ships off the Dutch coast! If you want to read more about this incredible story, you can download the free ebook by clicking HERE.

We thank God for bringing us together and giving Maasbach Radio the opportunity to encourage these radio ministers!

Helen and Danielle

Sisters Helen and Danielle, daughters of the late evangelist Johan Maasbach, share how they responded to the voice of God in their lives.

From a very young age, these women of God were introduced to the Gospel and the Gospel in action. Their father Johan Maasbach, as well as their mother Willy Maasbach, were pioneers in the Netherlands. Advancing the kingdom in every way possible. It had never been done that way in this nation before! The sisters talk about how they remember their father as a man of faith with such a love for the lost.

Maasbach Radio prays that you will be inspired by this conversation that centers around the work that God wants to do through all of us. But first – He wants to reveal Himself to us…
