Award-winning Christian artist Jay King recently joined Maasbach Radio for an inspiring conversation about faith, worship, miracles, and how God can transform even life’s hardest moments into a testimony of hope.
Known for his powerful song “Hard Place,” Jay King encouraged listeners around the world to keep trusting God, even when the path ahead isn’t clear.
“I’m watching God make ways where there seems to be no way,” Jay shared. “Sometimes you take steps of faith without seeing the whole journey, but God is a miracle-working God.”
God Still Works Miracles Today
During the interview, Jay reminded listeners that miracles are not just stories from the Bible—they are happening today. As people step out in faith, God faithfully provides direction, opens doors, and makes a way where there seems to be none.
The conversation echoed the heart of Maasbach Radio: encouraging people to believe that God is still moving in every nation and every generation.
Serving God Starts with One Step
When asked what advice he would give young people who dream of serving on a worship team, Jay offered simple but powerful encouragement:
Face your fears. Start serving. Keep learning.
Drawing from his own experience growing up in church, he explained that many of his musical gifts were developed simply by showing up, serving faithfully, and learning from others around him.
From Fatherlessness to Finding Spiritual Fathers
One of the most moving moments of the interview came when Jay opened up about growing up without his father present.
He shared how that absence affected many areas of his life, but also how God faithfully brought godly mentors and spiritual fathers alongside him. Those men invested in him, encouraged him, and helped shape the leader he is today.
“God uses people,” Jay explained. “Our greatest resource is people.” Through those relationships, what could have remained a painful story became a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
Your Mess Can Become Your Message
A central theme throughout the interview was that everyone has a story.
Whether you’re walking through hardship today or looking back on what God has already brought you through, your testimony has the power to encourage someone else.
Jay reminded listeners that God specializes in redeeming brokenness and using it for His glory. No matter what you’ve experienced, God can bring healing, purpose, and hope.
A Prayer for Every Listener
The interview concluded with a heartfelt prayer, asking God to remind every listener that they are never alone.
Jay prayed that God would strengthen people, reveal His presence in every season, and help them recognize that even what the enemy intends for evil, God is able to turn for good.
New Music Coming Soon
Jay King also shared exciting news about his upcoming album, describing it as a collection of songs that tell honest stories while showcasing new musical styles. He expressed his gratitude that God is using his music as a source of hope and encouragement for listeners around the world.

Have you ever heard of affirmations? Affirmations are short, powerful sentences that declare something as true — often about yourself, your purpose, or your future — to help reinforce a positive mindset. But did you know that this is actually a principle from the word of God? Life and death is in the power of the tongue! (Proverbs 18:21)
Affirmations are declarations of faith — spoken truths aligned with God’s Word — that remind you who you are in Christ and what He has promised.
So speak these truths over yourself, out loud! They are all based on the word of God and are true for the children of God!
I am walking in God’s divine purpose.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
I am wise and make good decisions.
James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
I am forgiven and free from my past.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
I am prosperous and live in abundance.
Psalm 1:3 “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”
I am filled with peace and joy.
Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
I am a child of God—loved and chosen.
Ephesians 1:4-5 “…just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world… having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will…”
I am becoming the best version of myself.
Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
I am disciplined and focused.
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
I am qualified and equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:17 “That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
I am confident and courageous.
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Every believer faces battles. The Bible describes them as the fiery darts of the enemy: thoughts, fears, temptations, lies, and discouragements that seek to weaken our faith and draw us away from God. Yet God has not left us defenseless. He has given us His Word as a weapon of truth.
When temptation comes, there is a promise. When fear arises, there is a promise. When sorrow, anxiety, injustice, or spiritual opposition try to overwhelm us, God’s Word speaks a greater truth. These Scriptures are reminders of who God is, what He has promised, and how we can stand firm in every season.
Use these verses to pray, meditate, declare, and fight back against every fiery dart with the truth of God’s Word:
Temptation — Romans 13:14
‘But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.’
Worry and Stress — Matthew 11:28
‘Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.’
Depression — 1 Peter 5:7
‘casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.’

Greed or Jealousy — Hebrews 13:5

Fear — Isaiah 41:10
‘Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Bullying or Despair — 2 Corinthians 4:8–9
‘We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed’
Difficult Decisions — Psalm 23:4
‘Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.’

Being Treated Unjustly — Romans 12:19

Bitterness and Resentment — Ephesians 4:26–27
