Let’s have a heart to heart!

Love, connection, faith, and surprises, that is exactly what listeners can expect during Maasbach Radio’s special Heart to Heart event. This annual broadcast has become a meaningful moment for listeners to come together, share stories, grow spiritually, and experience encouragement through Christian music, conversations, and testimonies.
This year, Maasbach Radio is adding an extra sweet surprise to the celebration. During the event, listeners will have the opportunity to win a beautiful handmade cake, generously gifted by one of The Hague’s most beloved bakeries — Cake du Fortin.
The Heart to Heart event, taking place around Valentine’s Day, invites listeners from all over the world to tune in and be part of an uplifting broadcast filled with inspiring conversations and moments of faith. The event reflects the heart of Maasbach Radio, creating a place where people can grow in faith, share life experiences, and feel connected, even across borders.
The special giveaway cake comes from Cake du Fortin, a family bakery with a rich history and a passion for craftsmanship. Owner Yvonne Fortin-Godoy has been baking and decorating cakes since 1975, learning the art from her mother, Martha Sanchez, and her aunt, Walmira Godoy. Over the years, Yvonne has further perfected her skills through courses in Aruba and Venezuela, transforming what started as a hobby into a lifelong profession.
Cake du Fortin grew into a true family business, with her husband Ricardo Fortin, daughter Mauri Fortin, and son Curt Fortin all contributing to the bakery’s success. The bakery has become known for its dedication to refining both cake recipes and decorating techniques, using high-quality ingredients to create memorable and delicious creations.
Today, Cake du Fortin specializes in wedding cakes, children’s cakes, sugar decorations, and savory treats, all crafted with exceptional attention to detail.
Located in the heart of The Hague on the lively Prinsestraat, the bakery is loved by customers for its handmade cakes, welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding quality.
Cake du Fortin is extra special to Maasbach Radio because the station is always playing inside the bakery. Customers often enjoy delicious cake while listening to uplifting Christian music and messages, creating a beautiful connection between the bakery and the radio station’s mission to spread hope and encouragement.
By partnering with Cake du Fortin for this giveaway, Maasbach Radio not only wants to bless a listener with a beautiful cake, but also highlight a local family business that shares warmth, passion, and dedication to excellence.
During the Heart to Heart broadcast, listeners will have the chance to participate in the giveaway and win this exclusive cake. Details on how to enter will be shared live during the event, so listeners are encouraged to tune in and stay connected throughout the day for their chance to win.
The partnership between Maasbach Radio and Cake du Fortin perfectly reflects the spirit of Heart to Heart, bringing people together, celebrating love, and sharing moments that inspire and uplift.
Whether through music, meaningful conversations, or a delicious handcrafted cake, this special event promises to remind listeners that even small gestures can create lasting joy.

It’s snowing in the Netherlands! It’s been a while since we’ve been seen multiple days and layers of snow on the streets of The Hague – the beautiful city of Maasbach Radio. Looking outside the window of the radio studio and seeing streets of white, reminded me of how amazing our God is. I love singing the old Dutch hymn that says:
Whiter than the snow
Whiter than the snow
Wash me in the blood of the Lamb
And I shall be whiter than snow
Snow is actually mentioned multiple times in the Bible. Let’s look at five Biblical principles we can learn from… snow!
Purity & Cleansing
Snow represents spiritual purity and cleansing from sin. Just as snow is white and spotless, God promises to cleanse us completely when we repent.
“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”
— Isaiah 1:18 (NKJV)
God’s Power & Sovereignty
Snow reminds us that creation obeys God’s command. He controls the natural world, demonstrating His absolute authority.
“For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth.’”
— Job 37:6 (NKJV)
Provision & Faithfulness
Snow is part of God’s provision for the earth—watering the ground so it can later bring forth fruit. Likewise, God’s Word always accomplishes His purpose.
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven… So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth.”
— Isaiah 55:10–11 (NKJV)
Humility Before God
Snow can halt human activity and remind us how small we are compared to God’s wisdom and design. It calls us to humility and reverence.
“Have you entered the treasury of snow, or have you seen the treasury of hail?”
— Job 38:22 (NKJV)
Rest & Renewal
Snow often brings stillness and quiet, reflecting God’s invitation to rest in Him and trust His work, even when things seem paused.
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
— Psalm 46:10 (NKJV)
I am in awe of our amazing God Who demonstrates His character in nature. Come join me on Miracle Monday on Maasbach Radio and let’s talk about it a little more!

Tauren Wells is giving away a signed copy of his brand-new book “Joy Bomb: Unleash Jesus’s Explosive Joy for an Extraordinary Life” exclusively to a Maasbach Radio listener!
This Thanksgiving, Maasbach Radio is celebrating gratitude and JOY — and Pastor Tauren’s book is the perfect guide to help you take your joy back.
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.” — Psalm 100:4
“In Your presence there is fullness of joy.” — Psalm 16:11
Maybe you’re navigating a confusing season…
Maybe anxiety has been wearing you down…
Maybe everything just feels a bit blah lately…
Bible teacher, songwriter, and one of Christian music’s most contagiously joyful voices, Pastor Tauren Wells has a powerful reminder for you: Jesus’ first message was about how to be truly happy. Think about it: How important to the heart of God must your joy be if Jesus uses the word “happy” eight times in his first recorded sermon on planet Earth (aka: the Beatitudes)?
Help Maasbach Radio fill up the JOY JAR!
Send us a message telling us what is giving YOU joy in this season.
You can text, DM, or email your joy note, just include your name!
On Thanksgiving Day, Maasbach Radio will draw one winner from the JOY JAR.
Let’s spread the joy together!
